Huntersville NC Real Estate, Cornelius NC Real

Clicking on any of the homes (pictured above) will
lead you right into the current inventory for that neighborhood. This is just a
random sprinkling of the neighborhoods located in small cities located just
North of Charlotte, yet still in Mecklenburg County.
The towns of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson offer easy
access to Charlotte and Lake Norman.
Huntersville is the largest town in this area and is located just off I-77
(Exits 23 and 25) in North Mecklenburg County. Huntersville became the new hot spot when IBM
came in to town back in the late 1980's. At that time, there were slim pickin's as
far as housing, restaurants and shopping goes. Today, it tends to mirror
Southeastern Charlotte with its vast array of shopping and restaurants, as well as
housing selections.
Since the year 2000, Huntersville has enjoyed the addition of Birkdale Village-a
charming upscale mall loaded with boutiques, popular national specialty stores,
ice cream parlors, outdoor eateries, movie theatre, and a park like
setting...this shopping center is a real treat! Two other malls are located
within 15 minutes of Huntersville; the Northlake Mall-home to your large
department stores, adjacent to office supply and furniture stores; and Concord
Mills Mall; Concord Mills is an enormous outlet mall offering more stores than
one could ever cover in a day! However, you are not
limited to 'mall' shopping. There is an abundance of shopping and restaurants to
choose from throughout the northern section of Mecklenburg County. Whether you
are in Huntersville, Cornelius, or Davidson...it is all just a stone's throw
away!
Huntersville is known for its great schools, swim neighborhoods, and its
continued solid growth. Another big addition to the area is the new Presbyterian
Hospital. This state of the art facility is located just off of Exit 23.
Huntersville is less than 45 minutes to uptown Charlotte, and less
than 15 minutes for those that work in the University area. Plenty of parks and
sporting activities abound for the young, and the young at heart. Communities
with pools and clubhouses are plentiful...some with golf courses. Price ranges
in Huntersville are a bit less than SE Charlotte, but by no means cheap.
Cornelius ( I-77 at Exit 28) began as a small mill town over 100 years ago but now
seems to have been overtaken with
the development of new subdivisions and lakeside mansions. A bit pricier
than Huntersville, and a bit further from Uptown Charlotte. Premier living can
be found at The Peninsula, where your home can overlook both Lake Norman and the
golf course! The public can
also enjoy the lake at the two county parks in Cornelius; Jetton Park and Ramsey
Creek Park. Other upscale Lake Communities are referenced by going to the
Lake tabs (bottom left).
Last, but not least,
Davidson is home to Davidson College and offers a quaint small-town feel. It
is known for it's strict development rules that has made new neighborhoods blend
in with the old. There are a variety of housing types and amenities, you will
also see plenty of horse farms and golf courses throughout this area.
